    A320 TQ Candy!

    Hi Guys (a320 builders!).

After studying many some rather confusing and over technical A320 TQ drawings and trying to work out what the heck all the lines mean, I have managed to cut out half the cr@p and 'get to the point'. I'm sure some CAD drawers just love drawing lines and add them just to confuse the h£ll out of you so that it makes them look good!

I have combined CAD drawings with photo's to produce my own drawings, and the measurents are pretty much spot on, and fits within the overall dimensions of the TQ (which means, it will fit in the pedestal where the TQ is supposed to go)....

What the heck...this is my first attempt and glad to of got something drawn up!

Here's a photo of the drawings, once it's finished I will publish!

The levers will be drawn separately at another time....this is just the 'housing' which many A320 builders are looking to get their hands on!

You may wish to purchase or produce some dummy wheels to put on the end unless you are a mech wizz and can motorize them! Wheel drawings are not included in my drawings!

    Re: A320 TQ Candy!

However, I did come across a flight sim part supplier many many months ago who sells the A320 TQ, fully plug and play and is excellent quality and all for the incredible price of 750 euros....

I am on the mission to find the link as I have stored the link on my pc somewhere...where? I don't Know, so I will search high and low.

    Next good news is.....

There is going to be a new supplier of the A320 TQ being released on the 27th March, the on-line shop is in France and I have been told that the A320 TQ is going on sale either as:

    *KIT
    *FULL TQ
    * TQ PARTS & SPARES
    * TQ PLANS TO MAKE YOURSELF

(could be any of these, will prob be fully made or atleast a kit and plans)

I will reveal supplier when I am allowed to (27/3)......

Also the store will sell everything to do with the airbus(its an airbus sim store) including all electronics, panels, switches, special parts etc....

Good news for us Europeans (no import duties or customs...its in France...yipee!)

Great Alex! You continue to get the drawings ready and I will cut the parts for test assembly! When we have it right I will cut parts for everyone! My CNC is sitting mostly idle, let's go!

As far as the trim wheels go, I bet we start with manual wheels and motorize them with a stepper once they are working manually.

    Re: A320 TQ Candy!

    Thanks,

It's really novice work compared to Gwyn and others, but it works for me! The throttle is really challenging, but I bet we can can a decent unit assembled working together. I have some levers cut already that are close replicas of Gwyn's levers he posted when he was doing his A320 design. I'll post pictures later today. I do like that unit Alex posted the link to!

    Re: A320 TQ Candy!

As you know I am doing the A320 panel range also, more fuel to the fire, but in order to do it properly we decided to cut the front end of an a320 and build it up again, so had access to a nose for a couple of days, unfortuantly the TQ is somthing i will never do (?) i just wanted to make sure my stuff fits the real aircraft.

Found a few bits on the TQ that should be of some help tou you, yes my handwriting is awful but i was in "giddy" mode

Hope you can make some use of this

    Re: A320 TQ Candy!

Here's some throttle stuff I have drawn and built. The reverser lever works but the mechanical section that ;ets it move past the rear stop needs some work....
