Smile The iPod Touch and Flight Sim Fun

My son gave me an iPod Touch this past Christmas. I have found quite a few really nice applications that could be handy with flight simming. There are applications with airport information such as runways, taxiways, and radio frequencies.

I can also download Pod cast such as fsBreak.net on it. Great to listen to at work.

One of the coolest applications I purchased was the X-Plane 9 Mobile for iPhone/iPod. This is really a nice program just to play around with. I have attached a few screen shots of what it looks like. Much better in person, pictures don’t do it justice. Very small screen but the graphics is amazingly smooth. At http://www.fsbreak.net/ Pod cast 51 about 30 minutes into the broadcast has video of X-Plane Mobile with a discussion from Ben Supnik from X-Plane.

This application is for the hard-core sim pilot….

What would really be cool is to have soeme touch control panels on the Ipod and integrated with FSX or XPlane

I'd love to have a small touch screen and I already have an Ipod.

I have looked at this before, but am hoping someone will come out with something similar for the touchscreen I already have on my iphone. Thanks for the heads up though.

ba543...this looks like a neat app, if I ever get the guts/proficiency to fly Vatsim. Thanks for the link though!
