Announcing new product!!! - A340 throttle quadrant

    Hi all,
After 75 hours in the workshop the new A340 throttle quad is finished and ready for it's new owner, (a MyCockpit member in Thailand).
The CAD drawings are nearly complete which will allow quicker production and the lead time should be about 10 to 12 weeks from order. This model will join the A320TQs on the Aerosim Solutions available products list. (Yes, I know I need to fix up the website!!!)

Re: Announcing new product!!! - A340 throttle quadrant

Well it was a sad day for me seeing the A340TQ leaving the building despite the smile in the picture! A very happy Erhard travelled from Pattaya in Thailand to Perth, Western Australia to collect the TQ in person. We spent a few hours in the workshop making a few new parts on the CNC and had a few beers along the way. Erhard left for Thailand leaving me with the task of producing a set of dual A340 rudder pedal assemblies, I might just have to deliver them to Thailand in person!

Cheers Erhard, that was a great weekend!

The A340TQ couldn't of gone to a better builder Erhard has been at his A340 for quite some time and an excellent builder. Erhard goes back a long ways, we started about the same time on our A340's, he's given lot's of good tips and is quite helpful.

Congratulations and I wish you all the luck with you're new throttle, not that you need it

    Enjoy!!!!

Well, I am happy to let you know that both the TQ and myself have safely arrived in Pattaya. Of course, Thai customs was trying to charge me an arm and leg but I managed to negotiate them down somewhat.

Once again, thank you very much for this masterpiece of a TQ and, even more so, for yours and Leonie's hospitality during my stay in Perth, I enjoyed it very much. I sincerely hope I will be able to reciprocate suitably one day (hint, hint...) and then you will finally have the chance to appreciate the finer points of Airbus flying.

Please do not hold your breath to see the TQ installed in my cockpit in the near future, I will be able to do some work in the next couple of days, but family matters will take their toll and then next week it is back to the treadmill of the job (trips already lined up for the rest of this and the next month).

Matt, thank you for your nice words too, although I do not consider myself and experienced builder, after all I have two left hands.... I will try to be more active here in the future, but I am not really a forum person, I do read here regularly so if you need something from me then shout !
