    Christmas Wish List?

Okay guys and gals (fellow flightsimmers everywhere). What's on your letter to Santa this year?

    1. Saitek Pro Flight Headset.
    http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/pfhead.htm

I've kind of hum'd and haw'd at the idea of getting a 'real' headset. With the expense and some what difficulty in getting one on my mind and the comparative easy of use of the Saitek version. I'm leaning in that direction. I'm hoping to do a few mods to it just the same.

    - Paint it a decent color.
    - Replace the air cups with gelled versions (if possible).

That's pretty much it. I've bought everything else I need so far. I'd love a new simkits Cessna yoke wheel too but I can't have everything hehe...

    Re: Christmas Wish List?

I guess mine would have to be to get a job. I am 59 years old and laid off for over 6 months now......you think the young guys are having trouble getting a job. Pretty soon the unemployment will be gone and then what? So, I want a job for Christmas.

I think, at that price, you could really buy a real headset for real planes.
In my wishlist at the moment, I put "time to do things " at first place

Your right but then I need to increase the impediance on the mic via interface and then perhaps get an intercom for the unit. I could do that at the same time but that would be added cost. In my price range it's a about $140 for headset and $99 for the intercom for a total of $240.00. This would save me about $100 and I can figure a way around the intercom situation (with a small handheld mixer) which essentially is what the intercom is.

Personally I'd love to get the real deal too as I do have hopes of getting a PPL someday. For now though this will have to do.. if Santa got my mail? Hehe.

    Re: Christmas Wish List?

    Hello Ron

I think that the saitek headgear is great for the sim as it does exactly what you want it to do within reason.

Its a great way to get used to the idea and feel of heavy headgear and perfect for training on your sim in time for PPL training.

When you get used to these and have the resources to train for your PPL then I would get some decent avi grade headphone such as David Clarke head gear or if you can afford it buy some Bose headgear!

But the Saitek headgear looks good to me!

    Go for it!
