Knobs! (N1 and Speed Ref ;)
I'm looking in to building the infamous N1 and Speed Ref selectors for my 737 MIP that will be interfaced using a FlyEngravity MIP Board. The N1 & SPD Ref selectors are made up of an encoder and either a 4-way or 7-way switch depending on which one.
Is there anyone on the market that sells this sort of switch ready assembled?
Alternatively, is there anyone that sells the knobs so that I could try and build my own?

If your sending a set to the UK for Ed, pop another set in the same envelope and let me know how much they are. I'm sure Ed won't mind popping mine in the post for me [please]
Edit: the illuminated one's please.Last edited by Sean Nixon; 12-13-2009 at 02:46 PM. Reason: added text

Supplementary question - what type of encoder do I need for these switches and where to obtain them in the the UK?.
Thanks

Re: Knobs! (N1 and Speed Ref ;)
Merry Christmas to you too Dave - and to all!
PM sent with my address.
Very good question Ralph, one I was going to ask myself. I'd also like to know what switch to use as well. I think the N1 is a 4-way switch and the Spd Ref a 7-way. I use Farnell the most for electronic components. I'll see what they've got.
I remember seeing a tutorial on the FlyEngravity site explaning how to make one, but I can't find it right now. I'll try and dig it out...
Edit> Found it. It was on the CPFlight website in the MIP board manual:
http://www.cpflight.com/sito/downloads/mip737mi105.pdf
Looks like they used a C&K 45 deg switch. I'll try and find a UK supplier. No mention of the encoder.
