3d glasses are they as good as multiple monitors?

See the specs below. I was considering these instead of multiple monitors some time in the future if the experience is as good or better than multiple monitors.
Has anyone tried these? The resolution is lower than the monitors but it is cheaper and 3d. Move your head in any direction and the view displays that
direction. Sounds great But is it ??? Support for Windows 7 is coming I am told.

Re: 3d glasses are they as good as multiple monitors?

I had these for a few weeks and sold them.

They do work as described and it's very cool at first then you realize that the screen looks to be the size of a 17" monitor. (62" but at 9' or 17" at a few feet)

Small text is hard to read, I couldn't see the taxiway signs and had to use the zoom function to see the gauges.

Also totally useless for cockpit builders because what would be the point of building all these pretty panels with lights and knobs if you can't see them?

Overall it's cool for the casual gamer but not good for the serious simmer.

As Twisted said, they are no good.
If its for financial reasons , you are better off to find second hand TFT s in your local ads

Thanks guys, I kind of figured that is the case. I'll stick to what I have for the moment then.
