fs98 or fs9 what should I use with my old pc

I just dug out my old PC which is a P4 at 1.66GHZ, I found a 19" flat screen and the old CH yoke and rudder pedals with the serial port that will work on the old system.

I do have the FS98 CD still and will load it up tonight just to get a feel for the
program again. Anyway, is there any advantage to using FS 2004 over FS98 and will my P4 be enough to run FS2004 ?

I'm only going to run the old system for a month or two and then upgrade
the PC and controls for FSX which Santa is going to throw in my stocking.
Don't ask how I know this

If you have FS2004, then install it and see.

If you don't have FS2004, see what Santa brings, then upgrade after 1 or 2 months!

I did load FS98 and wow this program is OLD. I can see that I was using FS2004 or newer last and not the 98 version. Problem is I must of let someone borrow it. I'm going to now look for 2004 which is FS9 correct ?

I know the old P4 is not up to task for the FSX that I have so I will wait for
an upgrade later in the new year. Too close to the holidays to be buying a new PC, besides, there will be better deals after the holidays .

2004 will work - just but I would venture 2002 would be a **** of a lot better for performance and appearance.
