Re: 737 sim parts for sale

    Hi Jon,
    Thank you for your reply,
I just stick with my cessna cockpitsection, and have no intention for purchasing a Fokker F27.

A mate of my worked as a construction mechanic at the Fokker factory at Schiphol Rijk and seen a lot of it.
Also at this moment one of the manual-illustrators (Bosma)of Fokker is now working with me as a sales-engineer and still likes to talk about the good old Fokkerdays
note the F27 in the Netherlands wil cost you about 8000 euro ex seats and overhead.

    Kermit,

I think the English phrase is "they're having a laugh". Mine has the full overhead and seats, can't imagine paying 8K for it though !!

Re: 737 sim parts for sale

I think this the reason it isn`t sold yet

I know that the prices has soared the last few years as the vendors discovered the simulation-industry.
    Just look at this one
    http://www.aviationmegastore.com/ove...=355&art=88083
The frame is made of 2mm profiled steel
I had to ask the people at shop why the high pricetag,
My wife had to pinch me in the arm, because I couldn`t hold my face straight.

You could buy a cheap MIG welder and a load of steel tubing for 400 EUR!!

    Hey Kermit,

I work in the double glazing industry and we use 2mm box section steel as reinforcing. That little pile would cost about £100.00!
Ok so they've got to cut and weld it together and throw some paint at it... Sheesss what a profit margin.

Re: 737 sim parts for sale

Just search my order books for steel prices,
    I found 40x 40 x2 mm 1.70 euro a kg ex vat and shipping,
think it will weight about 20 kilo, 1,5 hour production welding incl cutting/drilling say 45 euro a hour,
blasting and painting max 65 euro m2,
cost of making drawings depends on amount of frames
assortment of bolts/nuts/ajustment feet 35 euro.
    crate aproxx 35 euro
Not even shipping Door to Door from Holland say UK 115 euro or Germany 55 euro
I wonder what my platform will cost when finished

Damn, that works out a lot cheaper... I was at the AMS the other day and I too was absolutly knocked down bt the price of the frame, ... what is important to remember is that it is also designed around the Engravity kit, .. you might have trouble installing other stuff.
