Post Mini Projector for $69.97 ??????

Check this out, amazing for the price $69.97

I know it's a toy, it works but I don't know the specs. I couldn't help but think of the direction technology is going.

Re: Mini Projector for $69.97 ??????

I have been looking around the internet and can not find any specs on the projector. It is, however, on many of the sites referred to as a 'toy' projector. Not sure of the value for what we need though. Will keep trying to find some specs.

"Not sure of the value for what we need."

I don't think so either. I read the reviews and it seems the image is blurry although if you brought it down to about 18 inches it was tolerable. OK, LOL

Re: Mini Projector for $69.97 ??????

    320x240 resolution and...8 lumens...lol.

It would be a fun toy to hack though. Maybe other bulbs could be retrofitted into it for better lumens. Just wish it was 640x480 and not 320x240.

The only thing it might be useful for is backlit instrument panels with odd shapes that wouldn't fit a regular LCD panel. Still 320x240 is really low res. It would only be good for back projection of a few odd shaped instruments, not a whole panel.

Those photo frames that do pc display via USB sound like a more functional high resolution solution though. We had a thread on the forum a month or 2 ago about them.

You're right, 320X240, just doesn't do anything for me, 640X480 would be worth hacking.

Hrrrm, interesting idea. 8 lumens is really dim though. My simpit has no HUD because it's a first generation fighter, or I would try it out.
