    Re: First Panel

My CNC machine is made from plans that I bought from Hobby CNC online...It is fairly simple to build, paying extreme attention to the squareness of the components. I invested 30 to 40 dollars on the wood for the unit, 30 dollars for the three rods needed, 65.00 for the controller kit and 100.00 for the steppers and 60.00 for the power supply. That is less than 300.00 for the machine.....the software really jacks up the cost, 175 for Mach 3 to control the machine and 150.00 for Cut2d to make the toolpaths. I have gotten everyone of the panels for a 737 done in cut2d, so anyone who has Mach 3 running their machine is welcome to what I have (if I can find it all). The material I am using right now is very light and costs about 27.00 for a 2'x4' piece, I can get a full overhead out of one piece, but there is no baclighting.
That will come next as I get better with the machine.

    Hello Milton

Great to see you're up and running with your machine.
The rest is a lot of practice and I'm sure you'll fix the plexi/lexan challange.
Your first panel looks great compared to my first attempts - be sure!!.

    Good luck!!
    Regards,

    Re: First Panel

The simplest way to add a photo in your post is this:

    1. post the photo in the Photo Gallery
    2. view the photo post using,
    a. Recent Photos.
    b. select the photo you want to display by left clicking on it.
    c. you are now looking at a full size image of your photo.
    d. the box below the image, "Photo Details", at the bottom of the box you'll see "Direct link", copy that link (Don't use "HTML code" the one above the "Direct link"))

    3. Start your post, select the area you want to post your image and tap on the "Insert Image" icon (in the top bar of the text editing box, looks like a pic of a mountain).
    4. a box with an area to place your image URL will be available, the portion of the URL is already in place "http://", it's highlighted in blue,
    5. right click in the box and select "paste"
    6. "BANG" your image is there

    Hope this helps

I have ben doing this correctly then. When I rigt click on the photo, I do not get ny selection that states 'copy image URL'. The only copy that I et is a straight 'copy' option. Nothing that says 'copy image URL'. I am using Vista, maybe that is the problem? But the abve option does not appear in the drop down box.

Off to Disney, talk to you all later.

Have a good time at Disney.... what am I talking about, how can you not have good time at Disney

Anyway, I've changed the Photo Gallery program to include "Direct link" code to be displayed for the photo.

I've changed item 2. d. in the above post instructions. This should make it a lot easier and without difficulties
