So when you say Plug n Play ones are you referring to the Open Cockpits ones or someone elses? Just curious as I was about to purchase the OC units for my pedestal. I was going to do CPFlight but they currenly don't show support for Sim-Avionics so I figured cant go wrong with the OC version and SIOC.

Anyone using the Open Cockpits Nav, Comm, ADF, and ATC plug n play units? If so please give us your opinion of them...

    Thank you

    Yes i bought OC's all plug&play Radio modules+panels+pedestal for 2 reasons

    1) Main reason the White 7-segments-digits for all radios, like my CpFlight's MCP Pro.
I was waiting for CpFlight to release new Radios with white digits, but twice i contacted them, the didn't have it theirs feature plans.

    2) Reduced price (both Plug&Play radios and Panels-Pedestal bay)
Maybe OC's Pedestal bay does not has the Engravity's high quality but all together have a big price difference)

About Radios : Plug&Play modules are working fary fast with no problem, very good quality with backlight. Just a small s/w minimized on a networking pc.
(I was not satisfied, only with XPNDR, because they don't have 2 DualRotary Encoders for dial the digits, but 2 simple rotary, so the left is only used to change the "active-digit" and the right encoder to dial)

Check my site for some pics.

    regards

    Thanks Eddie,
I did order all mine this week. I got all OC but chose the yellow digit (just my taste). I bought 2 COM, 2NAV, ATC, and 1 ADF for now. I also have the CP Flight MCP and 2 EFIS units (only mine is EL series, not Pro) and I love them so far. Cant wait to mount in my glareshield which is under construction.

I love OC stuff and have a bunch of their cards and I like SIOC. ALso have their CDU. I dont think anyone can go wrong with either of these companies.

Love your project and site. Looks like you have everything coming together.

    Thanks again.
