    IBM x335 Server / FS2004

    Hi,
I bought a surplus IBM x335 with the intend of running FS9 off it but now that I have it setup with WIN2000, I can't seem to install FS2004 on it. Stops copying at the same file everytime.

Tried to install FS2004 on a Dual Core pc and it went thru fine.

    My x335 config is;
    Dual Xeon 2.4GHz
    4GB Memory
    36GB HDD
On-Board video card, ATI Rage XL PCI
    No sound card

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

    Thanks & Regards
    shim

No deep scratches on the cd.

I manage to use the same cd and completed the install on a core 2 pc.

Just wondering if this is because FS does not support Xeon processor. Can anyone confirm this.

    Regards.

I run FS2004 on a dual 2.8GHz Xeon HP WX6000 workstation. Both work fine.

    Re: IBM x335 Server / FS2004

Okay guys. Thanks for the suggestions.

I will try a different set of disks.

Steve, does you HP WX6000 have sound card installed?

on my IBM x335, FS9 prompts me that no soundcard was detected on my system when the installation started. Is this a concern??

What video card did you use on your WX6000.

    Thanks.

The HP doesn't have a sound card; just onboard audio. The video card is an nVidia 7800
