As a partner to the arts, Airbus is sponsoring the largest ever exhibition devoted to Edouard Vuillard, the great Nabi artist. The exhibition is appearing at the Grand Palais in Paris from 25th September 2003 to 5th January 2004, having previously been on display at the National Gallery of Art in Washington and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

A contemporary of the Wright brothers, who are currently being celebrated globally for the centenary of their first ever flight, Edouard Vuillard was also a 20th century pioneer. He deployed a remarkable series of inventions, unusual compositions and chromatic explorations in his paint-ings, some of which can be seen on display at the exhibition.

The spirit of innovation, quest for excellence and universality that these visionaries shared are values that have remained at the heart of Airbus since its creation in 1970. Today, they are values that continue to inspire more than 46,000 Airbus employees throughout the world in the construction of a family of aircraft, which are setting the standards in the 21st century.

A leading aircraft manufacturer with the most modern and comprehensive product line on the market for civil aircraft with a capacity of 100 to more than 500 seats, Airbus is a global com-pany with design and manufacturing facilities in France, Germany, the UK, and Spain as well as subsidiaries in the U.S., China and Japan. Headquartered in Toulouse, France, Airbus is an EADS joint Company with BAE SYSTEMS.
