    Question Help with Open Cockpit Gauges

    Dear All

    Recently, I purchased the following from Open Cockpits:

    a) Brake Indicator
    b) Flaps Indicator
    c) Yam Damper
    d) Electronic card for Servo-motor

    I believe me, I am in a state of shock on how to proceeds. Things in the opencockpit forums/ tututorials or other discussions in the mycockpit forum have indeed gone over myhead.

    So, I thought I should seek help and where better than from you guys. To put things in perspective, I am no expert in SIOC or other.

    OK, now, I got these products, they look great. The products did not come with any instruction manual and the manual available on their site is not too helpful. Can someone please guide me what exactly I am supposed to do, to get these working on FS9 ?

    I would request if you can tell me from the basics as I am relly struggling here. Also if you anyone would have the SIOC script for these too, would be great.

    Sorry for my ignorance and I am totally depending on you guys to make the needle move by atleast a centimeter .

    Regards
    Vybhav

    Re: Help with Open Cockpit Gauges

    Hi,

    I can help you with the script for the yawdamper and flaps.
    I don't use the brakepressure gauge from opencockpits so can't help you with that.

    To make the gauges work you need to modify the sioc.ini file
    In my case I need to change the next line:
    USBServos=0,0
    to
    USBServos=0,33

    You can find the number 33 are other number when you start the sioc.exe.
    Right on top you will find the devicenumber for the USBservo card.

    You also need to change the next line in the sioc.ini file:
    CONFIG_FILE=
    to for example:
    CONFIG_FILE=.\yawdamper_indicator.txt

    If you like to execute both files for flaps and yawdamper, you can put the code of both files into 1 text file.

    The scripts for the yawdamper and the flapsindicator are attachted with this post.

    Goodluck,

    Gert.
