    Wink Turn rate

    Hi,
To have a correct turn rate they say you have to take speed divide by 10 and add 7.
This can give figures like 24° for example. How can you achieve this with the little plane banking between 0 - 45°. Can we imagine a digital display from - 50° to +50° which would be more precise. Maybe this exists I don't know.

    Any suggestion welcome

    Gerry

    Re: Turn rate

Hi Gerry, its just a matter to know your cockpit,
When banking at a certain degree you have to make notice the line of the Horizon and where that line will cross your cockpit, it could be a instrument or a radio even a crack in the glareshield, a windowcurve or any other place.
Also a maximum angle has to be in relation to your airspeed if you bank 45 degrees at 70 knots you get a stall or sideslip.
The safest way is keeping a eye on the turncoordinater
