    panel suppliers in the us?

could someone please let me know of anyone who sells panels mcp radio etc etc located in the us. I know of opencockpits but after the exchange rate and shipping i think i could probably get something in the us for the same rate and get it a little sooner maybe.
    thanks in advance.

I would LOVE to see these in the US as well, but sadly, I don't think there aren't any. The closest I think it is FlightDeckSolutions and they are located in Canada. Their shipping is pretty reasonable but I don't think they make panels.

Some of these European vendors have reasonable shipping as well, OpenCockpits and HispaPanels being some of them, but others just RAPE you on the shipping. How can someone justify charging you over 120 EUR ($171 USD) to ship an item to the US, which weighs less than 6 ozs?

When it comes to panels, I think of the front panel itself, and not the module as a whole. That's why I said I don't think they make panels, but do sell complete modules.

Innovative Flight Simulator Products from what I understand now sells a full line of 737 panels. You may want to contact them to verify this. http://innovativefsp.com/737.html

Re: panel suppliers in the us?

There are a few other people in the US who can make backlit panels for sims, but currently they tend to focus on fighter sims. Possibly one of them might do some custom work.

Mike Williams makes a line of panels for F-16 sims. http://aviationsimulationgroup.com/F16Panels.aspx, http://shop.viperpits.org/index.php, and http://www.viperpits.org/smf/index.php?board=65.0

Gene Buckle has been making various parts for a real F-15 cockpit he is converting (he says) to simulator use.

    http://www.f15sim.com, http://www.simpits.org/geneb/

Both have the tools and experience to make awesome panels, I just don't know if they have the time or inclination. With a polite email, you can find out.

Re: panel suppliers in the us?

depending on what you want I might be able to cut individual panels, I bought my MIP facades from FDS years ago, but if I had to do it over I would cut them from thin plywood to make them myself, now that I can cut them on cnc.

not production to be sure, but maybe helpful...
