    Mycockpit.org New at This Forum........

    Hello, Dear FLTSIM Colleagues,

My name is Aaron Dagan and I live in Herzlia, Israel. I am 66 years old,
    married and have 3 grown-ups, 4 Grand-kids and 1 home-bound cat....

Its been my treat today to join you in this forum, and share all that is
putiing us all together in this hobby (Its definitly not a "Game" any more).

I take pleasure in this hobby for over 25 years now, since its early days
of FS1 and onward, and from time to time I just wonder: where we will
reach further and to new frontiers?

Amazing what technology and human resources can do to bring people
from all over the Globe together, share the same views and desires
and talk the same language, when at the bottom line its only a "PC
    Game".....

Its my pleasure to take part in that forum, hoping to learn from all of
you guys - the "REAL MACOY" Hi-Tech inspired.....

To start with, I have a question about SIMBORADS products:
I assume they are quite fresh in the market, thus did anyone had the chance to use those products or colaborate with the Customer-Relations Support
    Stuff in the UK. (www.simboards.com).

    TKS and Greets.
    Aaron.

    Welcome to the hobby!

Simboards are not new. They do look like they are having a product relaunch though.

I have friends who use them, but their reliability can be bad sometimes.

Take a look at opencockpits.com who provide similar devices, but are much cheaper and (as far as mine go) 100% reliable all of the time. They are more complicated to setup, but once setup they are VERY flexible.

Hi Aaron and welcome to the finest resource centre for cockpit builders around the globe. I'm sure you could teach some of us a thing or two having such a long history with FS so don't hesitate to add your advice. As for Simboards I don't use them myself being and Opencockpit man but many here do. I'm sure they'll chime in soon with some advice for you.

Hi, Ken and Thanks so much for your warm welcome. I am sure touched by your kind words and wish I could contribute to the community as much as I can.

During the process of enlisting to the forum, I forgot to mention that I deal with real-world aviation almost all my grownup years. I retired couple of years back from EL AL after completing 30 years of service in the Commercial Division, so this completes sort of a "Cycle" together with the Simming and flying R/C models with my Son and his 2 Grand-kids.....

Anyway, I have checked with OC about my small project which is:
How I convert a genuin B767-200 MCP to be used with my PC and the
FS2004 or FSX on my desktop?

If you have any suggestions, I'll be gald to hear them.

    Best Regards,
    Aaron.

    Hi Aaron,

welcome to the site of this bunch of cockpitbuilders. There is a vast amount of knowledge already in this site and there are many great people here who dont mind answering questions too. Welcome.
Noticed you live in Herzlya in Israel. Some years ago I was send abroad by my company for two years and I lived in Herzlya too. Nice place there... I loved living there... Had to come back to Belgium with some pain in my heart.

Questions are what makes MyCopckpit.org go round!

Cant really comment on simboards but there are another 6000+ members on here so fire away!

Hi Aaron and welcome to MC.org,

We certainly all share the passion for our virtual flights of fancy. You will find plenty of help if you are going to build a cockpit and a friendly bunch of people to answer any questions.

I have personal experience with Simboards and can report over two years of very good performance, I did a review on them quite a while ago which probably still has relevance.

    Hi, Tom,

    Thanks for your kind welcome.

I'll take your word concerning SIMBOARDS v.v. OC. at this point of time I still collect data and info, as my main target project is:

How I convert a genuin B767-200 MCP to be used with my PC and FS2004 or FSX on my desktop?

    Any suggestions?

    TKS, Greets,
    Aaron.
