    Question Electronic Flight Bag

    Friends!
I have some questions concerning EFBs for FS 2004.
We decided to include an EFB in our Learjet simulator.

Can anyone recommend any EFB-software for FS 2004?

    FS Widgets EFB seems interesting!

However I want to use this software over a network (WideFS) and have the EFB program installed on a client.

Is this possible with FSWidgets EFB?

Any other thoughts or recommendations on this topic is much appreciated!!

    Best Regards

    Just a note
For the 737 the redundant lower engine display is the perfect place for an EFB +PMQuickmap.

Heres a review of the FSwigets EFB http://www.avsim.com/pages/0706/EFB/EFB.htm

According to this, there is a network version.

I downloaded the demo and the install file asked if I want to install the Networked version or the Standard Version. I chose Network version and it installed a standalone application which connects to FSX via SimConnect. I did not even ran FSX at the time and it worked (apart from the functions that is based on FSX data). It did tell me that a SimConnect server (FSX) was not found.

I own the FS2004 version and liked it. I will definitely upgrade to FSX and use the network version on an older PC. A touch screen will be a added bonus with this product

Looks like the FS2004 cannot be used over a network. Only the FSX version via SimConnect only.

    Re: Electronic Flight Bag

I spoke to Fermin Fernandez at FSWidgets and he said that the FS2004 version can indeed be used over a network. Here is a quote from his email:

"I just noticed the post re EFB on the MyCockpit site, to answer your
question, EFB2004 can indeed be used over a network, we have created a free Network Pack (see downloads page) that makes it possible to network the FS2004 edition of the flight bag. Of course with the inclusion of SimConnect in FSX it no longer was required, but with the FS2004 edition you can use our network utility."
