    777 project

I thought I would introduce myself and say hi. I am Melvin from Texas and I am starting a 777 project. I just relocated from Washington. I am so glad I stumbled on this site.

At this point I am in the market for panels so all recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Any panel manufactures in the states making 777 panels?

    Hey Melvin,

    Welcome to Mycockpit.org!

There isn't a lot available for the triple 7, but some guys are getting through that, especially building their own panels. Either way, I am sure you will find us all friendly and willing to help.

    Best regards,

    Trev

Thank you for the warm welcome. I don't think I can build a panel to save my life. I'll let you know if I find anything.

Phil (Phil744) on our forum makes 777 panels. The quality looks excellent they realy look fantastic.

I'm not sure if Phil is selling at the moment though, unless he jumps in here and says otherwise.

Good luck with finding a source for your panels, and keep up updated with the build.

    Re: 777 project

In hot pursuit finding 777 parts it turns out that there is a panel manufacturer right here in Texas less than 25 miles from me. Thanks to a fellow cockpit builder on this site who put me in touch with Joe @ Innovative flight simulator products. Joe was kind enough to invite me over to his operation next week to show me his 777 panels he makes.

I will be able to set up the project in one of my rooms in my house. The room is about 12x12 and has a walk in closet. This should be enough space. Software is either going to be Project magenta or Sim-avionics, I heard Sim-avionics is much better for the 777?

    Re: 777 project

Sim-avionics was designed for use with the 777. I have flown their test simulator and the software is second to none! Much better than PM.
Not to mention that sim-avionics is cheaper and the support is first rate.

I would recommend Sim-Avionics over PM for the 777.

    Project Magenta Re: 777 project

    G'day from Sydney
I'm a newbie underway with a 777, making what I can myself and using opencockpits boards for the interfacing. Hope I can learn from here. Got the bug when I had a fly of a REAL simulator belonging to the "government" last year. Couldn't believe the realism of the experience, and decided I had to do it myself.

I drive a piper in my spare time, but when the weather is bad, now I have the sim
