    Trim wheels

The other day I got the 'urge' to build some trim wheels, I was sick of using mappings on the hotas that don't give you a good feeling about how much trim is being applied.

I decided to do elevator, rudder and aileron. The elevator is a 5" wheel and the other two are about 2 1/2 inches.

I wanted to have multiple turns of the wheel for one turn of the pot to give me a bit more accuracy so I have need to turn some wheels. Here is what I have done over the last couple of days. Its probably taken a few hours to do this so far. I now need to mount them in a houseing and wait for the electronics to arrive.

I will probably orient the elevator wheel vertical (of course) and the other two horizontal, side by side underneath. That will use up 3 of the 8 inputs I have on my electronics so maybe I will add a button or two or a gear level or flaps lever etc.. Still to think about this.
