    Yellow elec pump

Hello, my question is when and why is yellow elec pump
switched ON in overhead hyd panel?
When I prepare the aircraft for the flight the ecam list
    indicates "yellow elec pump.....OFF".
Now I turn it ON at the gate and push it OFF when ENG2
has started. Is this wrong? Thanks!

The Yellow Electric pump works in Automatic... It normally will switch on Automatically when you operate the cargo doors... You can put it to on to charge the yellow Hydraulic Acumulator or to operate the Landing Gear doors in Ground with the PTU transfering to the Green System... You never touch the switch it is always in it's light out AUTO position.

    Regards,
