    Location of all FS9 files

I have had some problems with the windows graphics layout of late..
ie all windows work ok but if i change view, the windows freeze. The aircraft still flies but I cant see anything moving on screen

I have uninstalled FS9 using the uninstaller. Then deleted the files in the My Documents folder and deleted any remaining files in the FS games/ FS9 folder.

I have done this twice now and when i start the program the problem remains.

It still seems to be reading a config file hidden somwhere are some of the previous install settings are in place when i start FS9 and create a flight

Any ideas where there are hidden/system/config files apart from the nomal folders?

If you're not knowledgeable in editing the registry, don't do it!!!!! or at least don't do it without explicit instructions. Otherwise, I would check there for any lingering FS9 related items.

Assuming that you are using Windows XP the other location where FS9 files are kept is under:

    C:\Documents and Settings\XXXXX\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9

where XXXXX is one of Administrator, All Users, Default User and possibly other accounts.

Check each of these to make sure that the FS9 directories and files has been deleted.

    Thanks Guys
I did forget to mention that its running under vista.

Was running fine until i connected a monitor to the laptop and then spread the desktop across both monitors. It then played up so I reinstalled and it was ok.
Now its decided to do it again.

One thing i did notice was after a download of SP2 it played up so i got rid of that and it was ok. Maybe windoze has downloaded it and installed without my knowledge ... again. Will have to check as that may be the culprit
