    Had this show up in my email a few weeks ago, seems it was an electrical fire and not lightning.

    That makes sense Steve, thanks for the info.

    I thought it was kind of unusual for a lightning strike to do that. I've been on a few flights with lightening hits and never did any damage like that. Maybe radio damage, but not like that. Not saying it couldn't happen, just unusual

    Wow, never seen that before. That fire must have been whit hot to have burnt that far through in the short time.

    Thanks goodness they were still on the ground at the time!
