is opencockpits mcp backlighted?
i have an opencockpits, mcp and a separate efis. does anyone know if they are backlighted? all coorespondence says that backlighting is controlled by software but doesn't tell you how to turn it on? any ideas.

The mcp is not backlit, the efis is but you will need to supply separate 5v power supply for it to work. Not enough power just from the usb port.

About the power supply, I took it from inside the PC. When you lead an unused CDROM power cable outside the case, you can pick 5V from the red wire. Black is ground.

Hi, I think is an traslation mistake, in op site´s say:
"Control de brillo controlado por software"
"Software-driven brightness control"
This mean you control "DISPLAY" bright, if you take a look insde op MPC dont have led for backlighting...Although EFIS is backlighted...
