Hi there. Why don't you just order new ones from OC? They are top quality and very cost effective.

Ken's right. I don't think you'd be finding any OC radio heads for sale. Once you have one you'd never let it go.

You can buy two for the price the other guys are for selling one.

Michael, I understand you love your radios, because they are good radios, but lets keep it to facts. Especially since you are a forum manager. But if you compare the two brands the topic starter mentioned:

Open cockpits comm (white digits) 159 euros <--> CPflight (white digits) 199 euro's
Open cockpits nav (white digits) 149 euros <--> CPflight (white digits) 199 euro's

So not quite buying 2 for the price of "the other guys". The price difference is only 40 or 50 euro's and the difference in quality is signifficant !
CPflight has thicker panels, curved (cnced) edges for the panels, enclosed metal casing (instead of bare pcb's), custom made metal copies of the knobs instead of stock knobs, countersunk screws in the panels, etc.

BOTH radios are good, but there are differences that explain the difference in price and the price difference is not as steep as sketched in messages on this forum.

Additional to that, OC doesnt have a adf and txpdr yet. So if you want to keep your radios in one style thats something to think of too.

Admitted. If you choose for amber digits, the price difference is bigger...but still not 2 for the price of one !

Of course there are other vendors that do sell radio's that are twice the price, but those were not mentioned by the topic starter. He specifically mentioned OC and CPflight

Sorry...just had to vent this...i feel better now

Sorry I wasn't more specific about which brands I was talking about; I didn't want to name names.

I think everyone else has a pretty good idea of those brands.

But I wasn't talking about CP Flight.

Michael, No problem, I too think most people know what brand you were talking about.
Just wanted to avoid any confusion because of the 2 brands mentioned by the topic starter.

Well. Taken to account that this is a thread for "Cockpit parts wanted" I must be allowed to state this wish. I have got replies on this on cpflight forum, but that is the old style without backlight and I can't get a 100% confirmation about these radios work with FlightDeckSoftware.
And yes, I will probably have to buy these new from one of the wendors.

Anyway, the add still stay put. I want radios
