    Plug and play modules?

    Hello guys,
I am about to purchase 4 items from open cockpits, just to get a little more realism into my fledgling cockpit and to partly eliminate the use of mouse and keyboard.
The items are an mcp, multi radio, efis and the general simulation panel.
I just wanted to hear anybodys experience with any of these products and are they "really" plug and play, or is it a little more involved, installation wise?
I have FSUIPC registered on my pc.
Lastly does anyone know what kind of time scale on order to delivery, i am in Cyprus but i suppose the delivery times would be quite simalar across europe.

    TIA Steve

    Re-

    Dear Steve,

Hey Steve i am also from Cyprus, I have ordered from Open Cockpits many things such as MCP - COMS - MIP etc, and they are really plug n play modules.
About ur question if they arrive fast... 2 or 3 (maximum) days you should have the product!
    You should try this: http://www.aviationmegastore.com/?shopid=LM497b6065b09f664ea9ebbc2c09&parent_id=276

    Its faster than you think!

I have the MCP and EFIS. These are plug & play but you can tell they have no professional manual writers. The English (not my native language as well) is sometimes hard to understand. Sadly the forum is not so active, maybe because the email support is very good and quick. The result is that there are many unsolved issues on the forum that seem to be handled via email. If I were Opencockpits, I would force everybody to get support through the forum.

Anyway, I recommend OC products and I use them happily but if you are a computer illiterate, maybe you should look for more expensive stuff.

Well i recieved my radio module and a 737 landing gear panel yesterday and i am very impressed. Speedy delivery, really well packaged and the radio was up and running in 10 minutes, its just a little more realism added for me.
Build quality is superb and the backlighting pretty cool albiet controlled by software.
On a sad note though, i broke the landing gear panel in half when i was pulling it out of the box. It flew from one end of europe to the other and survived the cypriot postal service, but spent 10 seconds in my hands before disaster struck lol.

I cant wait for the mcp and efis now

The multi-radio module is a fantastic product! Here's an idea for you gents:

Why not add a boeing style knob to it? FAR more satisfying when you select your radio...
