    Test USBOutputs

    Hi,

I'm trying to wire a Gables B737 FLAPS/LE devices annunciator to a USB Outputs card. I am using TestUSBOutputs ver 1.0 and to test my connections. The program seems to be talking to the card correctly, and a voltmeter shows that there is current flowing through the circuits when the various outputs are activated, but it is only 0.5V. My lights are 5V, so this makes it hard to test the lights.

Does anyone know how to change the voltage coming from the card?

    Thanks

    Peter

If your card is working via testoutputs and the gables unit clearly works independently then are you sure that you have the right polarity on the connecting circuit. The OC USB outputs card has a common positive rail and the switched outputs make the circuit through the negative side.

Apologies if you already know this and I will go back in my box

David, thanks, after my post last night I did manage to get it working. What was not at all clear from the OC instructions is that you definitely need another power supply (separate from the issue of adequate power to the USB card logic itself) to supply power to the common rail to power the lights. Once I figured this out, it all became apparent.

Looks like a great piece of hardware. The good news is all the incandescent lamps in my 41 year old annunciator are fully functional!
