    Compatibility between different hardware.

I was curious as if you can literally build your cockpit using different hard ware to match different MIP's and overheads and what not, or are there strict no-no's into this because companies want you to buy all or nothing from them and them alone. The reason I ask is because I see many different varieties and what have you, but am scared that one piece won't fit with another, or there will be some sort of software issue. I'm fairly new to looking into this, and this is a lot of money to put towards something only to find that it won't work with something else.

    Thanks,

    Nick

You can built everything yourself or buy bits and pieces. Some modules might not fit other Company's openings but you could always modify them. Take a look a the photo gallery and see what others do.
