where can I find FSBUS card kits

    Hi everyone,
I am new to sim building and having just been researching things for a few weeks now. I am trying to build something simple that I can expand on in the future and have come across a lot of solutions (thanks to many of the threads in this forums). I have read about FSBUS card, but all the links that I see are for www.fsbus.de and on that site I do not see anything about where I can purchase kits of their boards, there is only software available for download.
Is this product no longer available or am I missing something? I am fairly useful with electronics and building things in general, but I do not have much money which is what attracted me to the FSBUS cards. It seems a reasonable solution that I could do myself and then build on later.
Could someone tell me where I can find information about obtaining FSBUS card kits?

Thanks for any help in getting me started.

    Hi

    Take a look at : http://www.rvdijk.nl/pcb.htm.
There you will find all you need to start building.

    Best regards

    Hello Jan,
thanks very much for this link. It seems like it has a lot of useful information on how to build these boards.
Just out of curiosity, do you know what is the state of the fsbus.de website. I see that even in this link you posted that it makes some references to that site, but on that site I cannot find hardware information or anything.
Would anyone strongly recommend me against using fsbus to begin with?

Also one more question, does there exist a site where I can order a kit to build myself, or do you have to buy all the components yourself?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I'm using FSbus for my cockpit since 2003, and be very happy with it.
There will be a next update of fsbus with a how to ... in the near future.

The hardware information and the doc's are in the prgram self.
So download the different file's from fsbus.de and install it.
You will find the doc's in the folder.

You can buy the pcb's from Rob'site, they are very good and cheap.
Yes, you have to buy the components yourself.
You need also a little electronic and soldering skills to build the different parts.

The software is for free and not hard to understand.

    Hope this you will help...
    Best regards

    Hello Jan,
thanks again for the response. I will look into order those boards and see if I can find a local supplier for the components.
I look forward to starting up the project and I am sure to be posting more on this forum as things progress.

I have now been looking into obtaining all the necessary components to build the circuit boards, but since electronics is not my background, I have a few questions.
In the parts list there is listed capacitors with only their capacitance value (1 uF, 220 uF etc), but when I look to buy some capacitors of the given values they are offered with different values of volts (10V, 50V etc). So what values of the volts do I need for each capacitor?
Second question is similar but with regards to the resistors. There is only a reistance value (Ohms) but no mention of the power rating (W).
Are the values I choose important for the capacitors and resistors, or will any value do, assuming I get the right capacitance and resistance values?

    Thanks in advance.

The 50 V types will be good.

    Resistors 5% 0.25W.

    Thanks in advance.

Any chance someone is in the Toronto area knows of I place I can find components for the FSBUS cards? I´ve already tried active surplus, but they don´t have all what I need.
Any more builders in the GTA have any sources for electronic components?
    Thanks,

    Michal
