    TV vs LCD

    Hi,

The cost of a 42 or 46 inch tv is well under half the cost of the same size LCD. Is there anything I should be aware of about buying a TV for outside view only? I guess there are 2 types - LCD and Plasma. What's the difference?

    Thanks

    Rob

There are quite a few difference between Plasma and LCD TV's but the one thing that I'm aware of that might help you decide is
If you have much sunlight entering into your room the Plasma will not look so good. My LCD TV looks great at all times of the day but my next door neighbour's Plasma has a lot of reflections in daylight.

    ....

I would be wary of plasma for computer graphics due to the burn in that can happen. I have one of my pc's hooked up to a 26" lcd and it looks pretty good, just dont expect graphics similar to a PC monitor
