    Hello from Manchester, UK

    Hello guys and gals,

My name's Nik and I live in South Manchester (with an excellent view of the Heavies on final into Mcr Airport!)

I'm here as I'm starting to build myself a 737ng pit and thought I could do with as much help as possible!!

I'm also building a cnc router to help with the above pit.

All timescales are dependant on my new copilot / baby boy and his needs though!!

Thats about it for the moment!

    Welcome Nik!

Are you building the CNC machine from a kit or is it your own design?

    Welcome from Scotland

    Hi Nik

Welcome to the mad house. This site has so much information about flight sim building especially the 737ng there wonít be much that canít be answered here.

I am taking a bit of time out of cockpit building to build a cnc myself (itís a slow process with work and family, cnc and sim). If you are looking for a UK supplier for control boards and motors I would recommend www.diycnc.co.uk. I sent a few emails back and forward to Roy at diycnc and always got a prompt helpful reply. When I ordered the kit it arrived within 2 days, and when I emailed again with a question about the kit he was very helpful.

Good luck with the sim and let us know how the cnc is going.

Cheers for the advice on that! I'll have to check it out. I was looking at a control board and three motor deal that a guy in italy supplies that comes in at about €100 euros (have to wait till the bonus comes through!).

Building it based on the Rockcliffe cnc plans.

For the actual 737 Main instrument panel I am lucky enough to know someone who can lazer cut it out for me at cost(!) when I get to that stage. Should also be able to squeeze an overhead and radio stack onto the same sheet of metal, so will only be about £25.00! Thinking about going 3/4 scale though, but not sure yet

The CNC router is mainly so I can make announciators, EFIS and MCP parts.

Ps...love the learjet sim! Looks great
