    New guy from Oregon

Having recently discovering all the neat hardware for this hobby, I had to jump in with both feet! I tend to lean more towards biz jets, and though the LJ is nice, went with Wilco's CitationX for FSX. Have not been able to find any Gulfstreams. Currently in 'hold' mode awaiting some modules from GoFlight and spending more time now looking for a compatible CDU/FMS for the Citation.

nice to find a place with so much info!

Thanks Jeff! There is more information here than one can absorb. Very glad I found it. Spokane is one of my destination airports from the many here in the Great Northwest. Still learning how to set up the Citation X, and just received the Legacy. Both very intense aircraft. Will eventually have photos of my generic business jet,

    Welcome to MyCockpit.org !

Just saying hello from London, UK.

The LJ is a really nice jet to build, quite simple in terms of the MCP, lots of buttons and has a really nice overall look to the cockpit, the LJ is what id build personally.

    Anyway good luck!

    Hi Mike,
Welcome!! you find yourself a fellow builder...I must admit you will need courage to take the citation route because we are really alone
However feel free to contact me or the other builders here if you need some tips or advice we might be able to help. There are very talented cockpit builders on this forum and I learned a lot just doing readings and following their advices. I'm currently building a cousing of the citation X it is XLS derived from the Citation Excel line. you can visit my site for ideas and updates. It is very fun building and lot of learning points as everything is custom made but it is quite douable so don't be scared...The lear45 took also baby steps before it became popular between builders and now people are making all type of parts available for it so don't be scared because you have an odd build who knows by end of this year we might convince a few more to take the citation route as well..
Good luck and remember to share your progress!!
    Adino

many thanks for the encouragement. That is a wonderful beginning on the XLS cockpit. You have given me several ideas as well as a direction to go!
I do wish there was more out there in regard to us smaller private jet types, but I know there are a few of us.
