Building a 45 Deg rotary from a standard 30 deg rotary ?
G'day everyone,
I have come across somewhere on here about the possibility of building a 45 deg switch out of the more common and widely available 12 pos 30 deg rotary switch.. Would anyone be so kind to share the idea of how to achieve this?
Thanks
Shafi

Hello Shafi,
the only thing I can think of is using 2 toothed-wheels, with a tooth ratio from 2:3 (say one wheel with 20 teeth on the rotasy switch and 30 teeth on the wheel on the ax to the knob.
when it turns to heavy, you can shorten the spring in the rotary switch a bit.
