    TH2Go with mixed projectors

    Hi guys

Is it possible (and advisable) to use a TrippleHead2Go with

1 projectors that is capable of 1024x768
2 projectors that only reach 800x600

    ?

I realize that you dont mix the resolutions, but harware wise will this work?

I would think so if you set them all to 800x600 output but I don't think you will like the results.

    ....

Yeah the 1024x768 projector will not look as nice since the native resolution isnt 800x600....in addition if you are using mixed types the trow distances will probably vary which means you will have to mount the projectors at different distances to get the same size images. Additionally the color & contrast will probably vary....

    ....UPDATE.....

It might be more trouble then its worth

Just be aware of the following if not already (only trying to help here!)

    1. the brightness of each projector, if different will give a less than natural look.
    2. the throw distance of each projector, may mean that they need to be mounted in different places
    3. the colour balance of each projector, may need colour correction software for each to match.
    4. the contrast ratio of each may differ.
    5. Are they all projecting onto the same surface material?
    6. Any adjustments (ie keystone etc) may affect their final suitability.

    Good luck

Yes, Im aware of all the image quality issues, but I was more interested if it would actually run. However, since I know it will be quite a while before I can purchase 3 identical projectors I will wait, based on the points brought up here, and focus instead on a totally enclosed single-channel system and possibly even add a cabin section.

    Thanks!
