    Smile Christmas comes early!

A sweet delivery 2 days ago when I received my MCP and Radio bits from Opencockpits. Excited!! The radio's need assembly but the MCP is pre-built and USB Plug & Play. So with trepidation I plugged it in, loaded up the SIOC software and away she went! And I'm happy to say it works beautifully in the PC12.

I've also made a little video over in MyCockpit Videos to demo it. I know many others have got similar gear and know how to use it but I just felt inspired.

    Ken.

Hi ken, your MCP looks great in your cockpit. Have you tried a hand at the back lighting yet ?

    PS.. great video too.

    Hi Padraig,

Yep she's a nice unit, but it's going to be tricky to backlight. As you know there's very little space between the front panel and the circuit board. I have conducted some successful testing with backlighting the COMM panel using LED's. Attached are some pics to show the initial result. Once perfected I'll apply it to the MCP.

That looks fantastic. Santa must REALLY like you...

Haa! No I'll leave the 737 to the experts, I'll just copy what I need.
