NEW "M Panel" by VR Insight - Coming

I have just discovered on Simware Simulations site (http://www.simw.com/index.cfm?fuseac...tails&pid=2080) that VR Insight (http://www.vrinsight.com/) are about to release their "M"Panel, which is capable of controlling and displaying Radio, Landing Gear, Flap, and Autopilot functions, in one compact unit, at a reasonable price. Looks very interesting, but don't know much about the company VR Insight. Has anyone had experience with their products?

I have heard that their CDU is a joke but the radio stack is very good. So I guess you have a toss up on your hands.

    hi chaps.......
andy is being diplomatic. having got the MCP combo and the CDU for use on my test rig and having had the opportunity to 'play' with them, joke is not the word i would use. they have not proved to be worth the money. but with the latest release of the software from vrinsight, we are getting somewhere.
however, this panel is going to communicate with FS using basic functions, so my guess is that it's going to do the business. there's nothing special going on with this unit. for example, on the combo unit, there are no issues at all with the comm/nav/tx radios because it is dealing directly with FS and not thru a 3rd party aircraft.
the remaining functions on the panel are also pretty basic and will use direct communication as well.
and it's not going to break the bank either if you have to use it as a paperweight )
    cheers .... ian
