    Front view VC fixed bitmap

    Hi
I use front projection and would like to ask the following.
If I use the cockpit view without panel I look to deep down and I suppose I cannot change it.
So, I have to go to VC view where I can vertically adjust the view. Now, I don't like the VC view as it is (even have difficulties to see sometimes the runway just under the edge during landing). Therefore, I would like to change it in a better bitmap, probably made by me. This bitmap may be fixed because I always remain in front view. Is there anybody who knows the existence of such a bitmap and if not how do I have to work it out in the vc panel. (BTW I use PMDG B737 in FS9)
    Thanks

Hi Robert, Are you talking about the instrument panel?

    Thanks for your reply.
Sorry, if I didn't explain it clear. No panel, I have a hardware cockpit, but, I don't want the full open projected front view (as in 2D view without panel or in VC view without bitmaps) I would rather like to have a fixed front window bitmap, so that I have the impression that I look through a front window.

Ok, I'm lost. It sounds like you just want a plain picture of what is in front of you and no outside scenery at all. Is this correct?

Do you mean the 2d view? If yes, you can change the view direction by add/edit the following line in the [view] section in the panel.cfg:
    VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=X.X, Y.Y, Z.Z
(i think X.X is the vertical angle)

Thanks, guys for the info but I think I am not clear enough, so, sorry for that.
    OK, let me resume.
First of all I want an outside front scenery view (projected).
    Further there are two possibilities:
    1) the normal 2D view with panel, where the panel can be removed (by typing two times "W") see PIC 1 and PIC 2

This view is, to what I know, fixed, so, you are actually looking too much down in front of you which is not realistic (PIC 2)
    2) the VC view where you have the virtual cockpit window views. Here you can adjust it vertically (e.g. with joystich hat). However, there are a few things I don't like in this cockpit window view (using PMDG 737-700). For instance when landing when one has a slight pitch angle I just see the runway on the lower edge of the window sometimes half hidden by the windscreen wiper. (PIC 3)

When I remove the cockpit views (for instance by using VC on 2D aircraft versions) I have a complete open front scenery view. (PIC 4)

What I would like to have now is using this open VC view, but with a self-made fixed window, so that I have the impression to see the scenery through an aircraft window. In fact a bit like PIC 3 but where I can move the scenery angle independently relative to a bitmap aircraft window.

If you mean, Mue, that the angle of view in PIC 2 can be changed independently to a window bitmap, then the problem is solved, but can this be done?

So, if you could adjust your view angle in the 2D window would that be OK?

    Use SHIFT + ENTER
and SHIFT + BACKSPACE to make the adjustments.

See how that helps and let us know.

THAT'S IT - Thanks - How stupid of me not knowing that after 5 years of FS9!
Now my last question. Does there exist somewhere a (see-through) B737 window bitmap, approximately like the one in VC view. (That one I can't find)
