    World Flight 2008 wrap up

Well after 7 gruelling days of 24x7 flying its all come to an end. The sim is dark and silent, the crew are all making their way home across Australia, and we're just getting the headquarters (my house!) back to normal.

We've had a really fanstastic week... great flying, great company (in person and virtually), great food, great beer... the list goes on! World Flight is alot of work and very tiring, but it's worth every bit.

Not sure how much we've raised yet but it will be substantial. We had 2 jump-seat passengers in almost all our daytime flights this year and their donations have been quite a boost.

We've had tremendous support via the webcam and streaming service that MyCockpit.org provided. It was awesome to know that at any time we could have dozens, if not hundreds of people watching us. Certainly puts positive pressure on the crews! We had lots of feedback via forums and emails and it was great to share our fun with our viewers.

So - to Matt, Trev and everyone at MyCockpit.org -all our crew want you to know how much we appreciated your generous support. And a special mention to Dee who worked tenaciously to get the stream going and keep it up and stable ... thanks mate.. you're a champ!

counting down to 2009 now.. I think!....

cheers to all from World Flight Australia Team737

    Thumbs up Wonderful even, congratulations

And thanks to you Nic for putting such a wonderful event together for such a marvelous cause.

I really enjoyed watching you guys getting ready before push-back, departing and then the arrivals. They were fantastic and done with professionalism. I believe people that came to the site and never been here before probably thought they were watching an actual cockpit in flight.

I believe thousands were watching the stream, Dee has the actual figures. In one PM from Dee he mentioned how amazed he was, that we've got over a 1000 watching that day.

Again "Congratulations" on a job well done, and I look forward to your next event.

    Hey Nic,

I would like to Mirror what Matt stated. You guys truly offered an as real as it can get experience. Even with the technical difficulties your team faced on occasion, it was very well done.

Thanks you again for giving us the opportunity to Host the stream, and Please be sure to contact us Next year, where hopefully we can make everything bigger and better for you.

    Best regards,

    Trev
