    LED light intensity

    Hi,

Anyone familiar with the problem of LED's not being intense enough?
I'm using the CPFlight MIP737 interface board and have 2 LED's per annunciator.
When connecting one led, the intensity in fine. But when you connect two leds, the intensity drops (especially on green led's).

The interface board is already in high, so I cannot bump it up anymore...

have you wired the leds in series or in parallel.

I know the manual says to do it in series. But i did mine in parallel and they are very bright.

    LED's in serie

    Yes,

    They are wired in series
Does anyone have a schema on how to wire the MIP (in combination with the CPFlight board) when you want bright led's
(I'm not an expert on electronics and happy that I even got it to work)

Different Types / colours of LEDS tend to have different power requirements. Therefore I would wire them in parallel using resistors as in the last example on this site http://www.theledlight.com/ledcircuits.html

    Cheers
