    Simware MCP Combo

Hi everyone. I am curious if anyone has seen the Simware MCP Combo. I'm not sure about programming. But I am thinking of building a pit for an exec. jet. More like a lear 45 config. with maybe a Citation X airfile. Could use some input.

Thank You very much. That was exactly what I needed to read. It made up my mind right away. My alt. plan was to use the open cockpits multi radio and maybe the CP MCP and EFIS. Thanks again.

Ian and I both bought the CDU at the same time. He planned to come up with one of his cunning schemes to add a TFT. My cunning scheme was to copy him shamelessly.

I also bought the Radio panel. Frankly, I share Ian's view about the CDU- BUT it is nice to have a more realistic keyboard and I programmed a button to switch to "direct entry mode" to eliminate any need to reach for the keyboard. However, you'll still need to make extensive use of the mouse for several functions. I would also regard the MCP as prone to the same problems.

However, I am quite pleased with the radio panel which gives the functionality I wanted at a fraction of the cost of the alternatives.

If you can afford better I would spend the extra money.

    vr insight

    hi guys.....
first to bryn..... thanks for putting it nicely. i was trying to be kind in my description )) i was actually trying to get some answers to my issues at the lelystad show, but nobody could tell me what i wanted to know. sort of got the feeling they didn't know themselves.
and answering ollie, the radio stack will work 100% because it has a direct connection into the FS radios, so no issues there.
however with the cdu, unless you are using it with the LD767, it's a glorified keyboard card. so we haven't progressed as far as the price has increased. nothing i can do with this except program the keys to send keysends...... sorry.
still stand by my original comments....
    have a great day chaps...
