    Arriving LOWW

At my usual gate 51 in the beautiful city of Wien.

Sorry, a little grainy. Must be that 1600 film I'm using.

    Mike,

    Hi Mike,
great shot! My oldest son is working as a "Red Cap" at the Vienna airport and when he saw your picture he instantly said: "Lufthansa is still flying the 727 ??? - haven't seen them at work ..."

    Ha ha!

I'm the only one still flying the Lufthansa 727! Tell your son thanks for the compliment.

By the way, would he know exactly which of the two terminals and gates that Lufthansa uses?

I've always used 51 at the south terminal.

Well, he knows and I know:
We have two major terminals in Vienna: Pier West and Pier East (the new SkyLink will be opened 2009):

These two piers are not airline related but related to the airports where the planes come from or fly to: Pier West has "Schengen"-gates without passport control, Pier East hasn't! Emirates, Royal Jordanian a.m.m. are docked there.
Gate 51 is used by Delta for instance for their Atlanta Shuttle and for Austrian Airlines leaving to JFK!

You will find Lufthansa on Pier West, gates 31 to 42!

I don't know why I said "south". I know they are east and west.

I'll have to find another parking spot.

    Thanks for the info.
