Smile Hi all from Germany and Italy

    Hi everybody,
I finally had time to join this (great) forum that I am following since awhile.

I am Alessandro, italian, living in Germany since a couple of year.

I am building my special version of a 767 cockpit based on opencockpits hardware and some CPFlight module. The version is special because I do not have enought space to reproduce a real cockpit so I aim to have all the controls available to flight without keyboard and mouse.

If you want to know more about my cockpit, feel free to browse my blog!

Ok, I will summurize what is my creation but believe me, it is really nothing compared to what I saw in this forum
I fly the 767LD, FSX version, virtual cockpit. CPFlight modules are connected to the desktop running XP. Opencockpits hardware, lekseecon and IVAP runs on a lapotop.

I have an apartment in Italy where in principle I could have an entire room for my passion but I had to move to Germany because of work and here I do not have a room but only some space into a closet:

My wife (as almost all the other women I know) hates cables!
So I have to put everything into that closet.

I bought some CPFlight products: MCP, EFIS, COM, VOR, ADF, XPNDR. The following picture shows the setup at this point:

I know it is crazy and you will be quite disappointed by this idea.

At this point I decided to start building more modules for the 767 by myself but they can't reproduce the originals because of the lack of space so I have to design my panels from scratch. My objective is to fly without mouse and keyboard not to reproduce a real cockpit.

After a little survey on the net I decided to build against opencockpits hardware using the lekseecon library produced by Nico Kaan...

    I designed the panel:

    Build it:

And installed over the monitor in the right side:

I built everything of the light panel and the final result was suprising giving that my knowledge of electronic is really very very basic.

In the short term, I wish to create a panel, to put below the two flat screens, grouping all the CPFlight modules. I describe all my works in the blog that acts as diary for me. So if want more detail, browse the blog
