    Flight Planning Software

Ok, I'm looking for a good flight planner that is free. And not the ones built-in to FS please.

    Andy,

Have a look at the site below:

    www.vroute.net

They have a free route finder and can create flight plans for you as well. Its free.

Vroute Premium is a payware and it has additional features that are quite useful like being able to link to other software line VATSIM and also to export the flightplan to the FS or to Project Magenta CDU.

    Check it out.

    Regards,
    Chris

    Andy,

I've tried a lot of the free ones.... and have gone payware. Flight Sim Commander. Well worth it.

    A lot of great responses!
Let me clarify what I want to do with it.

I'm setting up a host session and I want to create the flight plan and then save it so that everyone who will be flying simply has to download and import it. It will make planning and distributing a great deal easier.

I would still need to look at charts to be certain I was within receiving
range of a nav aid along the route of flight.

I've seen too many generated flight plans that are waypoint
turns with no associated nav aid. Leaves me sort of in the dark.
