I knew it was the link to that even before I clicked on it.

No one said real aircraft avionics were cheap. And this one is ready to slide right into the rack.

Even if I had a empty slot in the real rack..I would not dish out that kind of money on the Net....even more if it is a "bargain".

It's about $3000 off of list, but I'd still want to inspect it in person and pay the same way.

If my stuff were airworthy I'd have about a half a million dollars worth of equipment installed in my sim.

I agree 100%, perhaps even more..
I got this clean Delco Carousel INS for $50..imagine how much it was then!
Actually the nice people at Delco sent me the wiring/pin-out diags and I'd like to interface the keys and display with the CIVA software...not easy.

    I think that's around a $30,000 head. Maybe more.

    Re: nice radio!!

    Hi

After months of unsuccessful tests I just decided to rebuild it after removing basically everything in it. The diagram are of no use because the unit is just a terminal and is driven by some INS computer in the real aircraft.
    see: http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/show...ighlight=delco

If I had to do it again I would do the same but would put new 7 segments leds for the display instead of these tiny lamps which are next to impossible to rewire.

Remove all the cards, all the spaghetti wiring keep the keys with their housing and lamps, as well as the rotaries and rewire the whole thing to your liking.
Put new led digits behind the two brown screens and wire them to display 888888 , unless you want to make it functionnal...then you are on your own!
    Cheers
