    Busy hands are happy hands.

I too had trouble getting my head around all of the compound angles present in the window structure(s).

Get one angle right and the rest look wrong. Change that one, and then parts don't quite fit anymore. Re-cut, and then test fit again. And again, and sometimes yet again. Getting these angles to approximately correct was harder than building my throttle.

The mitre box and the adjustable jig saw had quite a workout with this area of the build.

That is more than I could do in one weekend. Why build it to look like an airplane vs a box. The answer is simple.

When you wife brings the bridge club in to see what the crazy husband is up to, they need to see an AIRPLANE and not a box.

Everyone knows you can't fly a box.

    Looks great Trev!
But can I ask, why are the windows blanked out?

Is it a template to get the angles correct?

    Doh - so naive!
    Cheers

ROFL. Mike your exactly right. It is almost imposible to build window frames without windows. In order to keep everything alligned correctly, I had to make fake windows, for obvious reasons, you don't want to practice with expensive plexi. So we made window templates and It also holds everything together firmly when attaching the stringers.

Funny enough, I have just removed the front two windows (fake ones) to have a look, and I almost pee'd myself. Looks great.
