    CFG files?

    Hi all.

I have a question that I am sure you guys can answer.
How do CFG files work? I mean changing the text alone cant
    alter grphics can it?

What exaclty is done when one changes something in the CFG file? Does it by code change things in the software engine of the simulator?

CFG files basicly are "Configuration Files" its a set of instructions that tell the application to behave the way it is. Like say the settings in FSX or any other program, the program launches and then looks for this .cfg file which tells it to set the type of graphics and what ever else the cfg contains for the sim engine and tells it how to behave.

messing with this can cause greatness or sadness depending on what you change in this file, if your going to alter this file of whatever program, make sure that you make a back up !
