    Not mutch information ...

    Hello,

There really is not much of information available on the GAGC software, not even on the PM site or documentation.
I am new to using it, it looks great but I would like to set it up the right way.
I am flying a cessna, activating the altitude lock autopilot, the vertical speed goes to +2500 resulting in a stall off course.
In the ini file, there is a setting for Type= but no idea wat to fill in here. I allready contacted PM for this but no clear reply from there.

So hope some feedback from users.

    Thanks

    Viator

If i remember correctly there is no default Type file for the GAGC i actually made my own for the FSD Navajo but I deleted it. I will send you a file that shows what the Type.txt file has in it. Not sure if you know this but you can save a flight within FS and have that flight dispalyed on the GAGC map. i beleive it is CTRL+F or Shift+F or ALT+F try any of those. If you dont see it at first try zooming the map out all the way then back in sometimes it works. I use the GAGC and PMRJ alot so PM me if anything comes up.

I'm wondering. How are you using the AutoPilot?

I am using the standard FS autopilot, I think the autopilot interface used by the GAGC is the same, I can't find any documentation on that either so I figure the offsets used by the GAGC are not PM specific.

Ok, but I wanted to know how you use the autopilot. Do you get 50 feet off the runway and turn it on or do you wait till you get up to altitude to activate it?

In a small plane, in most planes, you need to get up to your cruising altitude before you activate the AP or you will run out of trim and begin rollercoastering wildly thru the sky on your way to a crash landing.

Wait till you get within 200 feet of your target altitude to activate the AP and you should not have the wild VS rates anymore. That should solve your problem.
