Remote pushback tractor on Airbus A320
Hi, As I fly to Paris on a regular basis, I have some time to observe what is going on on the platform.
One interesting thing I noticed is the pushback of AF airbus A320. A remote controlled tractor is clamped aroung the left main gear and the ground handler operates it by remote control, while walking in front of the aircraft facing to the rear, and talking to the cockpit through his wired headset. After a succesful pushback he will walk to the tractor, detach it from the ac and drive it away. Finally the sign off, and he's done.
Pretty cool!Kester Meijer
