    Spur Gear questions

I was wondering if gear teeth can be made as small as 0.015625 an inch in tooth thickness?

Also is it possible to have a gear with only 4 teeth?

Only 4 teeth? Hmm... I'm not sure that would even be considered a gear. Its interaction level with another gear would be intermittant at best. If you could give us a basic sketch of what it is your trying to build I'm sure we could help.

    Kain,
Try this site. They make miniature gears. Not with as few as four teeth, but with a couple of gears you can get the right ratio. As you can see by the opening page they can make VERY small gears, and most are stock. I'll be using them for my gauges.
