    FBW handling in software

    Hi All,

As I am digging deeper into my project, I am wondering if anyone knows how PM or AST handle FBW? Do you still plug a joystick into the FS computer, or do they handle the whole thing?

    Thanks,
    Boaz

Project Magenta and AST act as just another aircraft add on for flightsim. Therefore you plug all your controlls into the FS pC as you always would.

    Hi Boaz,

Trevor is right, right now both PM and AST do not emulate the Fly By Wire features of the Airbus series. AST is developing a FBW module (I think, you would have to check with them), and this is also something that PM is considering to do in the future.

Right now, the best available solution (what the majority of us "Bus-riders" have) is FS Communicator (http://www.flightsimulator.at/FSCOM/FscomOverview.htm). Difficult to configure, but well worth the time and money.

    Hope it helps!
